Lydia Proctor is back on the case - genealogy that is.  This time it's at the request of a Tri-Cities society founding member. When Jackie Grier asks Lydia to help solve a family dispute, Lydia takes the task on reluctantly. Patience becomes a virtue when Lydia has to appease Jackie and try to solve her family history problem the "right" way.

Murder, as she eventually learns, comes in many forms, both in the past and the present.

As always Lydia has the support of her good friends, Faye, Muriel and Julia.
Join them as they make A Commitment to Murder.

So Much Stuff!
This has been a busy and exciting month and it's almost over!!!

My oldest got her first librarian's job and she starts as a children's librarian on Monday. My son is almost done with school (2 more quarters) and he's planning a road trip back to West Virginia. He's also on the job hunt since his loans will be coming up soon. I wish the economy would pick up just a smidge! My youngest performed the other night at her school. She played her violin and not a squeak was heard from any of them!! And on top of all that Alec was an extra on an episode of House. He'll be in the first 6 seconds of the episode (faire themed) so keep your eyes peeled over the next month!

Lastly I have been asked to participate in a book signing June 6 in El Segundo. Last year's participation was 600 people. Not quite on the scale of the Festival of Books in nearby LA, but pretty good for a small fish in a big pond like me!

March is another busy month. My cousin is coming into town and bringin me an album of pictures I haven't ever seen. Her mother my last living sibling to my Dad died last year and left a treasure trove of family pictures. I can't wait! And while she's here she'll be with me watching my husband and daughters perform in their Ho'ike (Hula recital). My youngest daughter is doing her first solo chant. It's so exciting!

And finally, I will also be making a presentation to a lot of boy and girl scouts for their badges. SBCGS and Torrance Public Library are doing this together. As president of the society I am excited to see this happening

Writing...oh yeah, that thing. I won't be doing as much faire this year so I'll have some quiet weekends to myself. Maybe I can get some done then!

Until next time...
