Lydia Proctor is back on the case - genealogy that is.  This time it's at the request of a Tri-Cities society founding member. When Jackie Grier asks Lydia to help solve a family dispute, Lydia takes the task on reluctantly. Patience becomes a virtue when Lydia has to appease Jackie and try to solve her family history problem the "right" way.

Murder, as she eventually learns, comes in many forms, both in the past and the present.

As always Lydia has the support of her good friends, Faye, Muriel and Julia.
Join them as they make A Commitment to Murder.

An Old Fashioned Murder
    by Laurie Pooler Pelayo

When Lydia Proctor, working mother, volunteer librarian and for hire genealogist gets an unexpected phone call her life changes. For her genealogy is a fact finding mission, with an occasional skeleton now and then. But she learns that some families contain just a few more skeletons than others when she's hired to solve a one-hundred year old crime. Did Julia’s grandfather really kill his wives or was it someone else? With the help of Lydia’s good friends Faye and Muriel, clues keep pouring in until the real murderer is discovered. It’s a challenge trying to solve An Old Fashioned Murder.

Yes, I'm alive
Well March was long, and April has been short. There is so much packed into 4 weeks sometimes I can't handle it all!

I have the last person proofing "A Commitment to Murder" and then it's ready to send back. I found very few errors, which I was incredibly proud of considering my venture last time. But one learns from their mistakes, and it looks like I did.

If it goes back the end of next week then it should be available by the end of May beginning of June. So hang in there, I swear it's coming!

It's here!
I am so pleased to report that my proof has arrived for A Commitment to Murder! I am passing one of the copies on to a friend to read and I am running through it again. With any luck there will be few corrections so the second proof will come much faster and it will be ready for purchase by May!

It looks awsome. Once again I must give kudos to my spouse for his cover work and one of my co-workers Dwight Ueda who took such great pictures. I hope that when the time comes for the book to become available that you will all want to continue on the mystery/genealogy road with Lydia and company!

More on availability soon!
