Lydia Proctor is back on the case - genealogy that is.  This time it's at the request of a Tri-Cities society founding member. When Jackie Grier asks Lydia to help solve a family dispute, Lydia takes the task on reluctantly. Patience becomes a virtue when Lydia has to appease Jackie and try to solve her family history problem the "right" way.

Murder, as she eventually learns, comes in many forms, both in the past and the present.

As always Lydia has the support of her good friends, Faye, Muriel and Julia.
Join them as they make A Commitment to Murder.

Puppy dog tails (or is that tales?)
So I spent the first day of my vacation taking care of a baby pup (and do I mean baby!), organizing one binder (ONLY ONE!), and putting out a handful of decorations. Oh yeah, I also got the society history up to 1986 (only 22 more years to go). I just hope the next few days are a little more productive!

I want to write, but with a puppy head on my lap it isn't really helpful when typing. I guess there are worse things in the worldLaughing

Puppies and Christmas and a book once again on hold
Well we got the car out of hock and the deductible went to my credit card. So there went the gift certificate. I still have two weeks before the offer expires. So we'll see if a miracle occurs again. I think you only get one a year.

On the bright side we have a new four legged friend at home. Lia (Pualilia - means Lily in Hawaiian) a sweet lab mix is my husband's christmas present. She's straight from the SPCA in East LA (he and my youngest got there when they opened - a nice 20+ mile drive from home). She's underweight currenly, so we're trying to fatten her up so she can be spayed. We have a month to do that in. She's a caramel blonde mix. Yeah, they finally got to me, but I was the one who narrowed the selection. It's only fair I have a say too! (she's laying on my lap as we speak)

Okay so it's off to decorate the house, finish invitations and give a puppy a bath.

All in a day's work!

Saved!
Well somewhere I did something right. My publisher Infinity is doing a special of 349 instead of 449 until January 1st. It's a gift certificate that one can either give as a gift or use for themselves (for a new Infinty author it's $399 instead of the usual $499.) It was the best Christmas gift I could ever have gotten and I'm faxing it the beginning of next week.

So if all goes well and I can get two things finalized (the cover and the merging of two files into one) it will be in the mail super quick!

Hang with me...the book is coming soon!
