Lydia Proctor is back on the case - genealogy that is.  This time it's at the request of a Tri-Cities society founding member. When Jackie Grier asks Lydia to help solve a family dispute, Lydia takes the task on reluctantly. Patience becomes a virtue when Lydia has to appease Jackie and try to solve her family history problem the "right" way.

Murder, as she eventually learns, comes in many forms, both in the past and the present.

As always Lydia has the support of her good friends, Faye, Muriel and Julia.
Join them as they make A Commitment to Murder.

I got some stuff done!
Well I am slowly sorting through the copies of stuff I found in Salt Lake City last year! I have made a dent in my pile, and of course while doing that I found more stuff I can look for if I decide to go this year (which I did...). So in a nutshell I have finally started to work on stuff I want to!

That doesn't mean I don't still have a scrapbook to finish for DAR, or my son's to catch up on (I think I left of at 8th grade?) or books to enter in the SBCGS catalog, but it is a start!

And yeah, I'm still on page 98. I plan on working for at least 2 hours on the book Friday, and who knows in a month it may be ready for the publisher!

Graduations
Yes, I am alive. Just recovering. My son graduated Wednesday from high school and now we have this huge party on Sunday which I have to clean for. In between all of this I am crocheting leis for the guests, hosting one of his friends from out of area and trying to find something cool to wear in this 90 degree + heat. I did get up to page 94 in A Commitment to Murder cleaned up and prepared for printing. I only have another 200 and something to go! Once the party is done I will be able to actually spend my Friday's off doing something fun (to me anyway).

My friend Lorraine is bugging me to go to Salt Lake City. Normally I would jump at the chance, but I have so many brick walls, I can't see spending that kind of money for nothing. She gave me a week to confirm before she makes the reservations. I mean it's only two months away. So much to do and so little time. I haven't even had the chance to enter everything I found last year.

So don't give up on me. The next Lydia Proctor installment is coming. It's just coming in between real life. That's why when the big publishing houses get you they have their own lackies to do this kind of thing!
