A Commitment to Murder Is Ready For You!

Available through www.Amazon.com and www.BBOTW.com

Lydia Proctor is back on the case - genealogy that is.  This time it's at the request of a Tri-Cities society founding member. When Jackie Grier asks Lydia to help solve a family dispute, Lydia takes the task on reluctantly. Patience becomes a virtue when Lydia has to appease Jackie and try to solve her family history problem the "right" way.

Murder, as she eventually learns, comes in many forms, both in the past and the present.

As always Lydia has the support of her good friends, Faye, Muriel and Julia.
Join them as they make A Commitment to Murder.

Book Interview
Well tomorrow night I have my interview by the BBK Book Group (see main web page for address and time). I should be nervous I guess, but I'm not. I think it's because I have so much on my plate right now. I finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows last night and am spent today. It was a gut wrenching book. For all of you out there who haven't had the chance to read it...be prepared for a roller coaster ride.

I need to log the last of my edit changes and send them off to my editor. She was on vacation and I didn't want to overwhelm her with stuff. If all goes well, I might be able to have the second installment ready to print by Christmas. Keep your fingers crossed.

I need to also update my website some. I have had Fridays off now for 5 weeks and have gotten zilch done. It never seems to fail that I make all these plans and never get anything done. Oh well. I really want to get back to working on book 4 too. The idea is a good one, and I am really into the plot, it's just finding time to actually sit down and write. All of these magazines on writing suggest (some even "tell") you to write every day. But many of these people get up at 5 am and write for an hour before work, or stay up past my bedtime - 10 pm - to write. OR they are lucky enough to make enough money that they go out and get themselves an office, loft or some other sort of writing space. I haven't made enough money to buy a plane ticket anywhere, if that tells you anything (economy too!)

I need a vacation. Somewhere warm, with a breeze and an ocean view. No phones, just my laptop and good food.

I can dream - can't I?

Progress
Well I got the promotion at work - finally, I've got the second book edited and corrections are now finished and will be submitted to my editor, and wedding preparations are moving along for my daughter. None of the above have been easy. Each of those milestones have had their barriers, and I know that the wedding will have a few more before the big day on August 18th.

It has actually been a learning experience with the editing. I am learning so much, and it is amazing to me to see the things I have missed that someone else zones in on--all quite valid I might add. It has actually made me go and look at installment three a little closer, and am I seeing stuff. I truly believe that people learn by doing more so than sitting and being lectured to, so I guess this is my learning by doing.

I have the book signing/interview in two weeks. I'm trying to get myself geared up for that...So much to do and so little time.
